- Take bath early in the morning on the day of the fast.
- After that wear clean and neat clothes.
- Take a pledge to keep a fast for Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. So that your fast is successful.
- Make small idols of Shiva and Parvati from clay or sand. Install them at the place of worship.
- Decorate the puja area with banana leaves and other things.
- Now place fragrance, flowers, lamp, incense sticks etc. at the place of worship.
- First of all, pray to Lord Ganesha as per the rituals.
- Now do Jalabhishek to Lord Shiva. Offer him Belpatra, Dhatura, Bhaang etc.
