Lord Ganesha has the most important place in Hinduism and Ganesha is remembered. Before any auspicious work Ganesha is the first among the gods.

It is said that if Ganesha is worshiped before any auspicious work. Then that work is completed successfully.

It is believed that by worshiping Ganesha Ji with rituals on the day of Gajanan Sankashti Chaturthi. The person gets education, wealth, health, and respect. Also, all troubles are removed.

Gajanan Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Vidhi

On the day of Chaturthi, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and offer water to the Sun.
Then decorate a stool and place the idol of Lord Ganesha on it.
After this, he should be anointed with water as per the rituals.
Then offer him a garland of yellow flowers and apply tilak on him with kumkum.
Offer Ganesha some homemade sweets, modaks, etc.
Offer Durva grass to Lord Ganesha.
Then chant Bappa’s Vedic mantras and recite Ganpati Chalisa.
Finally, end the puja with Aarti and ask for forgiveness for any mistake made during the puja.

Remedies for Gajanan Sankashti Chaturthi 2024

On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, one should offer marigold flowers, modaks and jaggery to Lord Ganesha. By doing this remedy, one gets success in every task.
Anyone who wishes to buy his own house should recite Shri Ganesh Panchratna Stotra, this will definitely be beneficial.
After worshipping Shri Ganesh, chanting the mantra. ‘Om Gan Gaum Ganpataye Vighna Vinashine Swaha’ 108 times removes all obstacles in life.
For early marriage, chant the mantra. ‘Om Gloum Ganpataye Namah’ 11 times and recite Ganesh Stotra. Then offer modak to Lord Ganesha, this will make the work successful.
Recite Dhanadata Ganesh Stotra for immense wealth and prosperity. Mantra- Chant the rosary of ‘Om Shreem Om Hreem Shreem Hreem Kleem Shreem Kleem Vitteshwaraya Namah’ 11 times.
On Sankashti Chaturthi, one should worship the Shami tree, this pleases Lord Ganesha. Offering Shami leaves to him removes misery and poverty.

– ‘ॐ नमो हेरम्ब मद मोहित मम् संकटान निवारय-निवारय स्वाहा।’

– ‘ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं ग्लौं गं गणपतये वर वरद सर्वजनं मे वशमानय स्वाहा।’

– सिद्ध लक्ष्मी मनोरहप्रियाय नमः।

– ॐ श्रीं गं सौभाग्य गणपतये। वर्वर्द सर्वजन्म में वषमान्य नम:।।

– गणेश वंदना मंत्र-

गजाननं भूत गणादि सेवितं, कपित्थ जम्बू फल चारू भक्षणम्।

उमासुतं शोक विनाशकारकम्, नमामि विघ्नेश्वर पाद पंकजम्।।।

According to this story, in ancient times, a moneylender and his wife lived in a city. The moneylender did not believe in God and was childless.

One day the moneylender’s wife went to her neighbor’s house. At that time the neighbor’s wife was telling the story of Sankat Chauth.

Then the neighbor told the moneylender’s wife about Sankashti Chaturthi. He said that by observing the fast of Sankashti Chaturthi, God fulfills everyone’s wishes.

Then the moneylender’s wife also observed the fast of Sankashti Chaturthi and offered 1.25 kg of tilkut. After this, the moneylender’s wife became pregnant and gave birth to a son.

When the moneylender’s son grew up, she said to God that if her son’s marriage was fixed. She would observe a fast and also offer prasad.

By the grace of God, the moneylender’s son’s marriage was fixed but the moneylender’s mother forgot to observe the fast.

Due to the fast not being completed. God became angry with the moneylender’s wife and tied the groom to a peepal tree during the wedding.

After that, the girl who could not get married passed by that peepal tree. Then the voice from the peepal tree was – O Ardhbyahi! The girl told this to her mother.

When the mother came near the Peepal tree and asked, the boy told her the whole story. Then the girl’s mother went to the moneylender’s wife and told her everything.

Then the moneylender’s wife apologized to God and prayed to God to observe a fast and offer Prasad after getting her son.

After a few days, the moneylender’s wife found her son and got married. Since then, all the villagers started observing the fast of Sankashti Chaturthi.
