- Now take a pledge after taking a bath so that your fast is completely successful.
- You can wear clean, preferably white or yellow, clothes.
- Install an idol or picture of Lord Vishnu on a small wooden stand. Decorate it with flowers, Deepak, and incense sticks.
- Sit in front of the altar and meditate on Lord Vishnu. Chant his name or recite the Vishnu Sahasranama (a list of a thousand names of Vishnu).
