- Both the performer and the place where the worship is being conducted should be neat and clean.
- The following Puja Samagri are required for the Puja.
- You should take a puja thali, diya, incense sticks, and dhoop.
- Along with this, keep fruits, flowers, Kalash, rice grains, sesame seeds, water, ghee, and prasad.
- Place the Kalash in the puja area. Fill it with water, and add a few coins if desired. It place a betel leaf and coconut on top.
- Decorate the Kalash with flowers and a red or yellow cloth.
- Start the puja by worshipping Lord Ganesha. He is considered the remover of obstacles. Offer flowers, light a diya, and recite Ganesha’s mantras or prayers.
- Perform a brief prayer to the nine planets (Navagrahas) to seek their blessings. This is optional but considered beneficial.
- Perform Tarpan rituals to honor your ancestors. Prepare a mixture of water, sesame seeds, and barley (optional).
